How the NSA Converts Spoken Words Into Searchable Text

Voice calls have always been difficult to contextualize or “search” as easily as documents and text messages, purely due to the simple fact that spoken word is not searchable in the normal sense.
This was the case until now, documents revealed by Edward Snowden has shown that the American NSA has been able to make rough word-to-text conversions for years and being able to search and filter through all these “conversations”.
This in itself is a very powerful method of keeping tabs on all the millions of voice conversations taking place on a daily basis.
